GuitarBra - anyone use it?

GuitarBra Ebay Auction

I try to keep my basses in nice shape; unfortunately that means that I most often play with my shirt pulled out rather than tucked in, to help protect the finish on the back of the bass.

Has anyone tried this product? For $9.99 and free shipping, I'm wondering how well it sticks and if it performs as advertised.

Clear static cling vinyl would hardly be noticeable...

I bet this is the same stuff that Corvette owners are using on their cars. They call it the invisible bra, and for the most part, it IS invisible. You have to know what you're looking for, and be looking for it in order to see it.

Pretty damn good idea, if you ask me...

You can go to Home Depot and make yourself one for about 5 bucks though.

If you want to minimize belt buckle scratches on the back of your bass, call up your local law enforcement and EMS uniform supply store and get a velcro belt. I've been using them for years. There is no buckle, just smooth leather.

Or thread the buckle one loop to the left, or right, depending.

The gitbra maker recommends removing the bra and storing it on its board whenever you're done playing. That's too much to fiddle with for me. Gives me the idea it might not stick so well if you just leave it on all the time, but that's conjecture.
