Guitbox Wiring!?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey gang, since this isn't bass related, per se, I decided to post here in Misc. If it's the wrong place, feel free to move it!

The low-down is this; I plan on getting a Strat (probably from Warmoth or USACG or Mighty Mite parts or whatever) and doing some mods. Very Tom Morello inspired. Black body, mirror pickguard, matching headstock, hardtail, etc. Might change the color and pickguard depending on how my tastes change.

Now, I want a unique'ish wiring scheme. I plan on installing a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge, SSL-1 in the middle, and Five-Two Tele in the neck.

I want to combine these two wiring schematics:
http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WDUHSS5L1204
http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WDUSSS5L2101

Basically, it is the regular 5-way switch but in position 2 (bridge+middle), it taps the bridge 'bucker. Then the rest of the positions are normal. Finally, the neck tone is a push/pull pot where when pulled, it switches to a neck volume. This will allow for bridge+neck and all three pickups combined.

I've got a buddy who can wire it all for me, but what I really need is a diagram drawn up that combines those two. I'm also going to install a killswitch and a high-pass on the tone, but those are simple to wire in.

Thanks in advance!!!

+1

If you do nothing else, shield it and ground it right. It's well worth it. Then proceed to mod it.
