Guy is selling his v-drums is this a good deal?

Guy I know from a different forum is selling his Roland TD-9S electronic drum set with stool, headphones, and four instructional booklets for $1,200. He says they're in great shape and he is a trustworthy member so I gotta believe him.

I've wanted to expand from bass and I don't much enjoy guitar so I figure this might be a good expansion. I like the electronics as I tend to live in apartments and an acoustic set would probably lead to mutiny in my building.

Anyone know if this is a good deal? Any experience with the v-drums?

While I am not a fan of electronic drums myself, the v-drum is a fantastic set of them.

IMO/IME, some of the best on the market.

the Vdrum set is the best electronic drum set imo

however, for 200 bucks more you can get a brand new set...it's a discount but not much of one imo

$1200 however is NOT a good price for them. You can find this model for like $1250-1300 new. I'm not a big fan of the rubber pad toms though that come with this set.

I know absolutely nothing about the used market for these, but seeing as the TD-9S sells new for $1300-1500, I would think you could do a good bit better.

Now if it's the TD-9SX, that might be a great deal. Those sell new for well over $2K.

edit: The above guys beat me to it. For this price I'd buy new.
