So I am selling a bass on Craigslist and the guy that responds is interested but wants me to bring my bass to his band's rehearsal room so that he can try it out on his amp.

Riis | 2 miles isnt a big deal, I was figuring the OP would have to travel at least 15+ miles.

I did this with a bass head I sold. I didn't really have a way for him to try it at my house(all my gear is in my rehearsal space), so I brought it to his rehearsal space. He paid asking price, and it was a painless deal. |

I'd ask for cash and compensation for delivery unless you are really needing to move the bass. Oh yea, definitely take a compadre with You, or You could end up tied up and gagged with duct tape riding in the back of a van with no windows. |

I don't want to go out of my way only to then get haggled about the price.
I would prefer he buy the bass and try it out on my rig. Then if he is not happy with how the bass plays with his set up I will refund his money, barring any damage, etc.
Any time I have sold anything I have always offered to refund someone's money. Only once have I had to do this (the pedal switch was intermittent). | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
