Hairy's custom pedalboard work shop @_@

hello fellas, im in the process aquiering the last bits of my pedalboard, and and nearing the end of the "what the heck should i build" process

im working on a pretty solid idea here, but from time to time i might need to ask some questions...

here is what we have so far.... i dont own all these pedals yet though... everything except the sv-2 and vt-3, but i am in the process of buying an sv-2 from a fellow tber right now...

my main concern right now is the power supply/surge protector...

i had originally planned to hide it under the shelf on the left, but my power strip would need atleast 10" in length and that shelf is only 7" long.... now, i could probably lay the power strip diagonally, but then it takes up too much space from something else i wanted to do.... anybody know if smaller power strips are made? id only need about 3-4 outlets on it...

edit: oh, and that long thing on top is a tube light for night time or dark stages... /edit

here is what one guy did on the tooltabs forum and i would like to emulate it...

i need some help on this too... i asked him questions about it but he hasnt gotten back to me yet, what he did was turn a standard "output"(? the word for it escapes me right now) and he turned it into the same jack(?) that is used on the power supplies found on the back of amps and computers... anybody know how i could go about doing that for relatively cheap?

alright home boys and girls, here we go... just got the final bits of the puzzle. and monday is the day i plan to go to home depot and get the wood

i ditched the tube light idea and just picked up a goose neck clip on table light...

my main concern now is still powering the board, i dont want any cables dangling off of the board or loose cables in general, so i still need to figure out how to get together what i asked about in the previous post...

Mount the power bar on the back and drill a few holes through the back for the cables to come through.
