Hot Pickups?......I know cheesy, but I had to do it. That looks bad, but you're lucky it wasn't more than just your hand!

Saw your previous thread about how it all went down -

I'm glad to hear you'll be able to play again in 8 weeks. It's better than not at all!

I would say to take this time to work on some other skills or listen to some good music to get your head in the music. That way when you pick back up you'll be swimming w new ideas.

Good luck bro!

Take care of that hand and DO NOT let it get infected - always a potential problem with skin damage like that.

I feel for you - sorry it happened, and hope it heals quickly!

I know Pilgrim, I got a spider bite 5 years ago that went into a staph infection.that put me in the V.A. Hospital intensive care for 5 days.I don't know if this body has the immune system to fight another one.so I will be extra careful and watch it closely .

YIKES Dude!!! Be sure and take very good care of that and keep it clean. I would imagine thats an area that would be incredibly susceptible to infection. Got to be hard to sleep with that. I'd be waking up constantly as much as I move around.

If it's any consolation to you, a guitard friend of mine suffered very similar burns to both hands after trying to pat out a fire caused by melting candle holders (plastic). He recovered fully and suffered no lingering issues.
