hey all, just wanted to say happy 4th to everyone! mine's been pretty good, but could have been better... since we're in a drought they banned fireworks in the city limits... i could have gone to see an fireworks show, but that's not near as fun as shooting them yourself! so we had a family get-together at my brother's house, had grilled burgers and dogs, homemade ice cream... besides eating and watching ghost rider, i spent a lot of time on his computer on youtube watching victor wooten... also, mentally preparing myself for tomorrow night... "my first gig"... HA! not really a gig, but i'll be playing for the first time in front of the youth group... i'm a bit nervous because i've only had about 5 hours of practice on the bass (sunday night and tuesday night)... but the music we'll be playing is pretty simple on the bass part, so its all good! i'm gonna go early to practice the charlie brown theme... i found tabs and it seems pretty simple, except for the tapping part, never really tried it, but i know the concept of it...
anyway, hope everyone had/has a fun but safe 4th, and keep me in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow night! |
