Happy Birthday Bruce Springsteen!!

"The Boss" turns 61 today! Thought I'd start a thread for one of my favorite musicians/artists/bands (E Street Band). I grew up listening to Bruce as my Dad is a huge fan and fellow New Jersey native. I'm a huge fan of Bruce's, and of his bandmates. Garry Tallent is one helluva bass player, and of course Max Weinberg on drums!!!

Anyway, feel free to share your favorite Bruce songs, albums, memories, etc.

Mine is when I got three tickets for my Dad's birthday, for he, my brother and I to go, November 2009 at the Palace of Auburn Hills (Auburn Hills, MI; his infamous "hello Ohio!" greeting episode). We had seats that were literally 3 rows from the VERY back, but it was an AWESOME show. 3 hours going strong, including crowd surfing, at the ripe young age of 60 years old!!

Happy birthday, Bruce! God bless and keep rockin'!

Bruce has been my favourite 'desert island' artist since I was 12 when Born in the USA came out. Darkness on the Edge of Town is probably my favourite album of his. I've only seen him live once but I'd love to again. Tickets are just so expensive though. He had a bit a dry spell in the nineties, but his last 3 albums have been really good. I also just got his previously unreleased "Darkness" era material a few months ago. Man, that stuff is good. Amazing it never made it to the publishing stage until now.
