Hard Drive Enclosure Compatable with Protools?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,
I just bought a Seagate 400GB SATA, 16mb Buffer Hard Drive. I am trying to find a firewire encloure for this hard drive that is compatable with Pro-Tools. I heard you must have the Oxford 911 chipset in order to write to the hard drive while recording.
My questions is, does anyone know of an Enclosure that has Oxford 911, that supports 400GB and is SATA? I know they are out there, but I can't seem to find any. Also, is Oxford 911 standard? You don't tend to hear about it to much? Please help, I'm confused...

ALSO, I will be using this with a Mac, it should really matter if it's windows or mac compatable, but just for the record...

theres an article in the october issue of EQ that has plans on how to build your own hard drive enclosure. Im sure if its in EQ its gonna be pro tools and mac compatible. Save yourself some money and just do that, i breezed through it but it didnt look too hard.
