Question Hard rock bands that sing in Spanish?

Sign in to disble this ad
Last week I started learning Spanish, as part of my attempt to immerse myself in the language as much as possible (aside from actually living in a Spanish speaking country), I'd like to listen to music with Spanish lyrics. I've been a fan of the Argentine stoner rock band Los Natas (or simply Natas) for a while now, but I can't think of any other hard rock bands that sing mainly in the language. Can anyone suggest any please?

Breed 77 do some stuff in Spanish. Heavy rock with a flamenco influence.

Live FabChannel footage here: http://www.fabchannel.com/breed_77_concert

Cheers

Mark

Definitely check out Puya. Then there's Brujeria, but they're definitely metal.

Plastilina Mosh doesn't just sing in Spanish, but it's one of the languages that they sing in.

Give a listen to "Divididos". A good Argentinean power trio.

If you like Los Natas, you could try an incredible mexican band called La Barranca, Puya from Puerto Rico is heavymetal-salsa, from Argentina I like Divididos, Animal, from España Los Planetas is a very good band.

Molotov, from Mexico.

Soda Stereo (not entirely hard rock, but one of the best Hispanic rock acts - check the late-'90s albums). In the same vein, check out Charly Garcia and Fito Paez.

Then for old school heavy metal, there is Rata Blanca from Argentina, and Baron Rojo from Spain.

Also check out this band from Holland, Laberinto. They have some good stuff in the vein of Puya, mixing hard rock with some Latin influences.

Aterciopelados from Colombia has some interesting stuff.

Mana is soft rock and pop, nowhere near hard rock.

Los Enanitos Verdes
is pop rock, but they have great musicianship and songs.

Same thing with Jarabe de Palo. Great music.

There is also Cafe Tacuba, quirky band, but they have great moments.
