Which is harder? guitar or bass?

If you wanna jump/run around the stage while playing.

Guitars have more melody/riff but as a bassist the playing is generally simpler you hav to keep time/rhythm.

So I wonder which is harder

They're both really hard, and they're both really easy.

If the bass is just playing root notes it easier, but if its a walking bass line that takes up a good portion of the neck then bass is harder.

Warwick Thumbs are relly hard. Lets see a piddly little telecaster take a good whack off one of those.

Depends on the material of which each is made.
A stone guitar is definitely harder.

This thread is stupid. There should be a rule against threads like this is Misc.

Only because he limited his options to guitar and bass. The drums are BY FAR the easiest to jump around with on stage.

No love for the marimba? This is why people don't take full-time marimbists like me seriously.

On a serious, jazz-note... I think bass. Guitarists only have to memorize 5 million different chords. Those become muscle memory. Bassists have to memorize all the individual notes in all of those chords, and remember different ways to walk between them.

Screw all of ya'll. Try this son of a b**ch out. It is called an erhu. I actually bought one when I went hiking through the mountains of China a few years ago. I took lessons from some Chinese guy here. No, this is not me in the pic. But this little thing is a bi**h.

I am thinking about putting a pickup in it, wonder if a bartolini will fit. Or maybe I can play my bass with it like Nigel did his guitar with that violin in Spinal Tap.

Bass is easier to be mediocre at, but harder to be good at.

It doesn't matter. Just play whatever you want.

I think you guys missed the whole point of the thread. Of course I know guitar and bass is equally hard to get good at.

But which one is harder to play and jump around with on stage?

and when i say i mean dance/jump like crazy
