Used to use a bit of that for the intro between sets.

In all seriousness, I've found anything by Grateful Dead or Phish hard for me to learn. I think they go against my grain, plus they sound simple until you try to play them. Plus I think their basslines don't follow any sort of pattern or something, I don't know what it is.

I just know that I can play 10 Rush, Chili Peppers, or Primus songs for every one Phish or Dead song.

Are you trying to copy Lesh's lines exactly?

Interstate Love Song. I think I need to take another look at my fingering to see if I can play it more efficiently.

That's because Phish and the Dead are jam bands. If you're trying to play their lines exactly then you're doing it wrong

"What's Going On" I always compare my playing on that tune to Jamerson's and I always come up short (and suspect I always will).

As a drummer of about 25 years, I always loved Maiden and the song Losfer Words. Now that I'm trying my hand at bass and found a great tab for it, I'm having a lot of fun playing this tune too and it's my #1 song to play after I spend some time rehearsing my scales.

I also just recently learned Jamiroquai's Cosmic Girl and Primus' Damn Blue Collared Tweakers and American Life. Fun stuff...
