Nope, but I did see Dread Zeppelin back in early 90's.
That was/is a funny band.

Sam | That's a great record, but I'll confess that I have it on CD. My brother used to be Mojo Nixon's sound guy and road manager; Mojo did a tour with Dread and my bro got to know them. When Dread played here in Austin I got to meet them backstage before the gig. What a pack of cards!
I also saw the real deal when they did the Houses of the Holy tour. That was something. |

Sam | Just to prove what an old fart I am, I saw Jimmy Page with The Yardbirds before he formed Led Zeppelin. Twice!

We thought Zep was loud, until Townsend hit a couple of chords. Awesome. http://www.ledzeppelin.com/show/may-25-1969
Saw lots of good shows that year (and in '68) while in D.C. - Jimi in Baltimore, Janis in Alexandria, VA. and others I barely remember.
August of that year, my roomie and I went up to Woodstock in his VW Microbus, didn't make it all the way in to the stage area though, as Dennis was worried about missing his discharge date (on the Tuesday, after the weekend, at 7:00AM) if we got stuck in the "disaster area" that had been declared. But we were there, in the rain and the mud and the buzz.
Good times, (except for being in the Army at the time).
