Has anyone ever heard of James Morrison?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I recently discovered this soft rock/soul artist James Morrison that kinda sounds like John Mayer. I researched him a little bit and found the new EP that he released “Live from Air Studios London.” I listened to some of the songs and I like some of his songs but I wanted some second opinions, so I thought I would share my discovery with you guys. Listen to some of his songs, if you guys are interested and please let me know what your opinions are!

i remember him pretty distinctly because when i heard the name, i wondered how successful he would be with that name, granted, i know it's probably his real name, but it's so close to another famous singer

John Mayer?!
The bluesy music style maybe--but I think it's more of a Motown sound. His voice is much more raspy than John Mayer. His voice is more of a Rod Stewart sound.

Personally, I like him! I like the raspy, Rod Stewart-type voice and I REALLY dig the Motown style sound he has.

I have his 2 albums "Songs for you..." and "Undiscovered".

James is a great singer songwriter and it is good to see he is getting recognision in the U.S. He is a very generous musician, after hearing Martin Harley play he put him on on his UK tour as support and talks about him in interviews. Check out why
