I've been on both sides of this before. But I ask because I recently just sold some hard cases. In one of them, I think I might have left my bridge cover to my 52 P Bass. I've looked everywhere in my house and can't find it. I emailed the guy I sold the case to and he said there wasn't anything in the case. But I'm still not convinced. I don't think he would intentionally keep it, but it's possible.
Anyways, have you ever accidentally left something in a case when you shipped a bass? Or have you ever received a bass with something really cool in the case? |

One day I decided to take my SS somewhere and needed a small gig bag so I took the Rock Band guitar out and when I went to throw a strap and a cable in the front pocket I found the game.
That's the only surprise I've ever had opening a case.

Times were tough and I sold my beloved fretless but forgot all about the money. 6 years later the guy I sold it to contacted me because I said if you ever need to sell it, please let me have first crack at it. I bought it back for about what I sold it to him for. Turns out he played it a couple of times, but couldn't get the fretless thing down and put it back in the case for 6 years.
I bought back the fretless and he shipped it to me in the original case. As soon as I opened the case, it jogged my memory and I pulled back the black felt to see my crisp $900 between the foam and shell. I couldn't believe it!
I also sold my Ampeg SVT3 Pro and a rack tuner before I moved one time and forgot that I had my Mogami cables, and 3 pedals inside a small nylon bag in the rack case. I didn't realize my mistake till I was unpacking 1500 miles away
Hope you get your covers back! |

Had he opened up the case he wouldn't have needed to sell it back to me. It's crazy how stuff works out sometimes. I REALLY check my stuff before I let it go now! |

| | | | One time I grabbed my case and put it in the car. I was taking a three hour drive for a long weekend vacation. Only to arrive and realize I forgot my bass wasn't in the case. I don't know how I missed the missing ten pounds from the case, but it was a loooooong weekend...
