The concern is that this chemical used in the bags can be transferred into the oil, which you are eating. It is a likely carcinogen.

Still, I have never even thought about licking the inside of the bag...just never occurred to me. I find the thought of it to be pretty disgusting actually. Why not just eat a spoonful of butter? Ugh.
