Yes did a search and X2 is under the 3 character limit.
Anyway I've noticed a few times that my X2 wireless would cut out for no reason. New battery so that's not the problem. The last couple of gigs it has gotten worse. Last night during sound check, it was so bad that I had to unplug it and use a cable. Bummer, 'cause it sounds so good when working properly.
The thing is I was only standing 1 foot away from my amp during sound check. The transmitter and reciever both had the lights showing that it was working when I was playing but the sound would be intermittent.
Looks like I'm going to have to track down the X2 people because this should be a warranty repair/replacement issue. Bought it last august.
Anyone else have this issue?

Did you make sure you were not transmitting on a channel that was already occupied... Check the owners manual on how to do this.
Good Luck!

The search term you specified (x2) is under the minimum word length (3) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.
.................................................. ..
anyway, I did find X2's webpage and it says something about having the connection tight for the cable going to the transmitter, so I guess I'll give it another shot.
Also since the other guys in the band have traditional wireless units, I'm assuming but not positive that since I'm the only one in my band that has a digital wireless that being on the same channel isn't possible, but I may be wrong about this.
I will try changing channels (didn't think about that last night DUH!) if the problem comes up again.
Thanks for your suggestions.

However, I did find that if you choose "Advanced Search Options" you get Google search abilities that you can limit to just Talkbass. This allows you to use modifiers like the + sign or quotes or any of the other goodies Google allows.
And, you can get interference from other equipment or devices that operate on the same frequencies that the X2 system uses. And, no, I haven't memorized the procedure to have the X2 Reciever check to see what channels are available. I always have to rtfm!
Good luck!

I think I also saw something about that in the manual too, but I'd have to check again.

| | | | Happened to me at the last gig. I unscrewed the 1/8 inch input into the transmitter, reseated it, retightened the lock nut (very meticulously) and everything worked again. |

I have tried this on two systems and I have the same problem. I suspect that the standard cables are not very good (which is perhaps why they sell the upgraded cables). |

This is the same band that many consumer electronics operate at: wireless phones, garage door openers, radio controlled toys, etc. I've been weary of X2's for this reason alone. I'm amazed that more people don't have interference problems with their X2's.
Worse of all, these ISM band electronics are intermittent. Imagine performing using an X2, when suddenly someone close by uses one of those wireless phones, effectively jamming your X2. |

Made sure the cable was attached firmly and did the check for interference on all channels and all was good. Played the whole gig with no cut outs at all I even went out into the crowd several times with no problem. So I'm assuming all is good.
I'll follow this routine every gig.
