Headless, V-shaped g%#tar

I just saw a band with the g&*tarist playing a headless, v-shaped (small bodied) guitar. I can't figure out what it is, even after searching the net. I've tried both Vox and Steinberger and haven't seen it. Any ideas of what it might be?
