Hearing Test!

There may already be one of these laying around here, but I'll post this anyway.

After 23 years of playing, and so many more listening to music with head phones, I'm amazed that my hearing is as good as it is. Here is a hearing test. I am good through 15000hz. At 16000, the tone is harder to hear, but I can still detect it. I can even hear up to 22000, but just barely.

Once you get past 25 you start to lose the top end naturally - never mind the loud rock music.

HEh. Never mind loud rock music. Try working around jet aircraft for several years of your life - you're given ear plugs, but you also have a radio / walkie talkie, and have to answer it when it beeps; you can't hear the 'alert' signal when you have the ear plugs in... Argh.

Anything over 12k seriously starts getting in the way of the constant ringing in my ears. :-)
