Heavy bass need COOL wide strap

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm wondering does anybody know where I can get a cool leather strap. I've recently set off for my 2nd bass a AYTK305 the guy over the phone said he guessed it was around 10 - 12 pds and to get a wide strap if I take it out to long gigs.

So I'm looking for a airbrushed leather strap ATLEAST 3" wide I found this one http://accessories.musiciansfriend.c...5&src=3SOSWXXB but, please tell me where to get more to help broaden my options I've tried Google, Bing, however please don't suggest Moody I'm not paying more than $100 .

I'm not really sure if this is the place to post this but, I figured it would be moved if it wasn't so in that case MODs I'm sorry.

You may consider this if you play a heavy instrument. Looks cool too even though it's not leather.

Are skulls And crossbones absolutely mandatory?
If not, try Reunion Blues. I've had one of their straps for thirty years.

Sonic where did you get it down you have his website or email or something?

Is skulls mandatory no. not really. But, it can't be just plain black either plus the comfortstraps sorta aren't leather I can't explain it but, I just want a leather strap. I always did.

I contacted the guys at Strap King to see if they could make me a 3" wide version of one of their 2.5" wide straps.

I have one of these. I used it on my Spector Rex because it was prone to neck-dive. Sold that bass and got a Corvette Standard bubinga. It is heavy, but I use the same strap and it
is pretty comfortable. Plus it is plain black; nothing fancy, which I like.YMMV.

You could always buy a Levys strap and get it custom airbrushed to your liking. I got a Levis, and it took the spot of my Comfort Strapp, its just that cool/comfortable.

^^ agree.. why not try levys..
bought one originally for my guitar, the boot leather strap, it's soooo comfy on the guitar, and when i tried it on my bass it's still do wonder !!
i bought this one after seeing the one that my friend had for 10 years, and it aged beautifully..

however its only 2,5" and now im looking to get a wider, made for bass, levys..

Go for comfort and have a local artist airbrush it for you like has been suggested. That way it will be unique and you'll enjoy it all the more.

I have a Franklin Padded Glove Leather 3" Black Guitar Strap. It was $59 at American Musical Supply (.com). It's very comfortable, and should last almost forever.

I bought a comfort strap, oh my god how disappointed I was... looks cheap as hell (looks like industrial foam)

Anyway, I recently bought 2 Minotaur ( http://minotaur.gr/catalog/ ) straps, and these area really good quality stuff, leather, padded, airbrushed, and not as expensive as Levy's leather straps, and they have really wide straps too... Oh and straps are shipped from Greece, so it might take some time until it reach your door

+1 for minotaur. Just bought one and it's great and quite cheap

After the NBC debacle I thought of writing with whiteout on a Levy's M4 strap "Coco Got Screwed!" but, didn't know if it is possible. Would it shorten the leathers life? Will it not even show up?

Stupid request anybody wanna try using whiteouit on anything leather and PM'ing me pics? I WOULD do it but, there's nothing leather in the house or garage.

I've been making my own using my 30-year-old Fretsling as a template.

It would work, but it might be quite a pain to clean off once the issue is no longer topical

I plan on keeping it for the long haul but, now after seeing those Minotaur straps I'm conflicted. I have enough money to buy a Minotaur AND the Coco Got Screwed.

Should I just buy a sticker of Coco got screwed from www.stickermonkey.com or www.Zazzle.com ?

Or get a Minotaur strap?

That Jimi Hendrix strap white on black is Sick!
