Hellyeah's new album STAMPEDE

Has anyone heard it? I just got it recently and am pretty impressed with it, however I feel their first release was a better album with cooler riffs and songs.

For those who don't know who Hellyeah is, it is the first band Vinnie Paul from Pantera and Damageplan had played with since the death of his brother Dimebag. It also has Bobzilla from Damageplan, Chad Gray and Greg Tribbet from Mudvayne and Tom Mawxell from Nothingface. Their style is southern hard rock/metal, although I personally call it Redneck metal
No insult intended with that name, in Australia I am what is known as a 'bogan' which is basically our version of the redneck stereotype.

Just interested to see what anyone else think of it, or the first album for that matter.

Cheers,
Jordan

I love this southern metal kind of music. I love both of the Hellyeah albums. Bobzilla's tone on this album sounds insane. It cuts through so well, and punches you in the balls. Love it!

I just played 2 shows with them last week in Texas.
Chad, Bob, Tom, Greg, and Vinnie are among the nicest, coolest guys you could ever meet.
And they sounded AMAZING!

canshaker,

I am TRULY jealous!! I got stoked when we got asked to open for Chimaira here in Australia, but unfortunately we couldn't do it!! Opening for Hellyeah would be a dream come true!!

Cheers,
Jordan

I know his bass in a custom Dean Hillsboro 5-string, but I'm not sure on his amp.

On the first Hellyeah album, he used a Schecter Studio-5

I found a pic that answers our questions. Looks like he has an Ampeg SVT ad an 8x10 for an amp. Here is a good pic of his Dean bass as well.
