help for finding a strap!!!

I wear my bass wicked high, and my straps are too long. I like leather, but I can't find a good leather one for cheap. Recommendations for anything less than $40.00? By the way, I'd prefer it not have a suede backing, since suede loves to "grab" my shirts and stretch them while I play.

If this is the wrong section for this thread, I'm sorry! please delete if it is!

Actually I'll just move it there for you

I also need a short strap due to being short and wearing my bass pretty high. Italia straps will custom-make a shorter leather strap for you- they usually use suede on the back, so you may have to ask if they'll do just leather. I personally use the Short size of Comfort Strapps. They're neoprene, not leather, but they're easy to find in a short enough size and are very comfy.

have you tried asking the local leather shop....the biker kind, not the designer one...if it was me i'd just cut a section out of an old one and pay the guy a couple of bucks to sew it back together

I got a levys 4 1/2 inch strap. On me at least, i can make it very high. But im also 6 1 and 240, semi tankish, so most straps are small on me.
