Help A Friend - Blues Guy Moving to Hunington WVA

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a very good friend moving to Hunington WVa for his job. He is a True blues player - I have played with him for about 6 years, and wanted to get some heads up info for him on the blues scene there.

Good bands/artists, good blues places, fests, etc. and well run blues jams.

He is probably going to need to get settled in, but is definitely going to want to play. Help me get some info if you can to give him a head start?

Thanks - Ken

I live about 1hr/15min away from Huntington. There are no straight up blues clubs around,to my knowledge. I've gigged all over this state for over 25yrs. I checked some of your videos out,and from the songs I've heard, you'll stay busy playing,if that's what you choose. Your set list seems to consist of tunes that these rednecks around here like to stagger around to. Hell,I haven't had a weekend off since I went to Myrtle Beach summer before last.
Need some places to play?? Shoot me a PM.

Thanks Millsbass5 - I will catch up

He will be going there without us - and will be looking for like minded folks. we played from the cuff - and in all the time we played, rehearsed once, and used a set list 3 times. These were great times - and I hope he picks up right where we left off!
