Help getting rid of gears

Sign in to disble this ad
I just started bass, but I have to get rid of my gears. I have a Fender Bassman 100, and a crate 15 watts. Both are brand new w/ warranty. What is the best way to sell it. I'm not sure should I sell my bass too, but buying a 100 dollar case to hold a 220 dollar bass is kind of rediculous.

You can become a supporting member and sell them in the classifies here if you want to help out, and get a good response. Otherwise you can take out ads, search for friends, take it to a store and trade it in....

But you just started, bought all of this stuff, and now want to sell it?? Make sure you won't want to have another go at bass in the future first. If you just want to buy a bass, you can get a hardshell for $30, or a soft one for even cheaper.

I know, it's a shame isn't it. My problem is the fact that im moving over seas so I have to sell my stuff. Where can I find a 30 dollar hardshell, will it fit a peavey millennium, and will it hold to the brutality of air travel? I'm just wondering if it's cost effective to keep the bass than to buy a new beginner bass.

I bought a 30 dollar hardshell in guitar center, it had a tweed outside and red plush on the inside. It is not 100% form fitting, but you can pack around it on the inside with rags, like I did. I don't know aout the shape of a Peavey Millennium, but I bought this because my bass was too big for standard cases, a Gretsch Electromatic, kind of a Les Paul shape. The case is pretty much just rectangular on the inside. It has locking thingies, and if I padded the inside a bit I'd ship it.
