I have the same one - it's the older (Series I) PL-Plus. The newer ones have an additional outlet on the front panel in addition to the 8 on the back.

Yeah, that's the Series I model, alright. The new ones look different but they seem to have the same internals. They use a different font on the front of the units. They moved the fuse reset to the front panel which is very convenient. They also use LED's for the front rack lights instead of actual bulbs which is nice. The only thing I don't like about the new ones is that you can't turn the lights off completely. Even when the dimmer is fully counter-clockwise the lights are still on and generate heat (not as much as the bulbs, though).

So you think its a good power conditioner to get (the Series II), or are there one's you'd recommend instead?

Yeah, I think it's a great conditioner. You can find ones that are cheaper but the one's I've tried (JuiceGoose, Gorilla) have never lasted like either of my Furmans. My Series I is approaching ten years and it still works great.
