I'm in LA for the weekend staying with a friend in Marina del Rey. We're looking for a good show tonight and haven't had much luck. I thought LA had a booming music scene overflowing with good shows on any night of the week...
There is a show at Spaceland headlined by the Gories but I quickly nixed that one when I found out they don't have a bass player (what's up with that!)
There is something at the Roxy but it's like 7 bands, all different genres, and ehhh.. I'm not a big fan of those types of shows.
Anything else going on? Anybody playing? It's a holiday weekend so I figured there'd be more going on. Please shoot me an e-mail at
