Help me Identify the guitar!

Hey fellas.
I have a fairly old guitar with some unknown background. I've had this guitar for quite a while now. I pretty much founded with trashed electronics (except for the pickups, they work fine) and decided to restore it and learn on it. The guy who restored it told me it was at least 30 years old.

I really like the sound and I realized I never dig to see what brand it was. or if it was any value. One guy wanted to buy it from for $500.00 so I guess (hopefully) there's some value after all.

Headstock says nothing but the letter "h" and has no serial number. (maybe in the neck pocket but haven't "opened it" yet)

Any info would be really really appreciated. This guitar has sentimental value and I really like the sound.

Thanks.

Hondo and Hohner are the first things that come to mind, but that logo's not right for either, as far as I'm aware.

Yeah somebody suggested a Hofner but I checked their website and was not there.

I would open it up, neck and both controls, and see if anything's there.

It just looks like another '70s Japanese clone to me. Doesn't mean it's not a good guitar though.
