Help me settle a bet...

Dear TB, I need help settling a bet.
Long story short, I've been writing up horn charts for my senior recital at school, and have run into a dead end.
Here is the track in question:

I'm convinced that the way to write out the horn line for this is exhibit A, but have been told by my band (and the horn players) that exhibit B is the right way to write it.

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Thoughts?

B is correct. A onscures the beat in the last measure.

Both are different. For starters, the length of the first note is
different between the two.

Here is how Logic Pro would display ExhibitA:

Here is a MIDI file to hear Exhibit A:

Here is how Logic Pro would display ExhibitB:

Here is a MIDI file to hear Exhibit B:

The horn players are probably confused, because the notation is legible.

Completely different. Both are correct, if that's the rhythm you want.

Yeah, that's kinda the problem... I'm trying to decide which one is correct given the horn line on the recording I linked to. I'm still convinced it's A...
