Help us choose a band logo! (pics inside)

Howdy folks,

My band has been together about three years, and we've recorded a 3 song EP and a 7 song LP. We're about to do our first full-length album - 10 songs - and we're releasing and distributing it ourselves. We want a logo for our website/stickers/album cover. We had a graphic designer put together some ideas for us, but of course you guys are welcome to make your own suggestions (and we will pay you if we decide to use yours!).

And here is the one I like the best... it's basically the same as the 2nd one, but without the "S"...

Our name is "SanSerif" (latin for "without embellishment"), and we are a 3-piece that plays alt rock in the style of Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Delirious, and Incubus. Here are some sound samples:

By the second one, do you mean the one with the S overlapping the circle? Or the second one, as in the one in my second post (just the circle thing)?

Obviously the graphic designer doesn't know a thing about fonts.

Those lines at the ends of the s's are called serif's. Why would she include those in a band that strictly says you guys don't have 'em.

yeah ... i was thinking the same thing. unless your logo is meant to be ironic. but man, how dorky do you want to be?

the name sanserif implies clean, geometric, swiss-inspired design.
