Anyway, I listen almost only to metal, and was wondering what a good beginner keyboard would be, for playing stuff along Children of Bodom, Stratovarius, Cradle of filth, etc would be? Cant go much over 400 bucksb tho^^

As I recall, someone said that that was a picture of Kate Hudson, although I might be wrong. Kinda like Burk48237 has a picture of Jessica Alba as his avatar.

Besides, it's his picture and he can do what he wants with it. If it bothers you that much, cough up $20 and put in an avatar that says 'I hate cheezewiz'. And a title too.

Besides, he probably just accidentally posted a broken link. Maybe lashing out at someone who is trying to help isn't the best idea.

And I don't know anything about Keyboards, but google might. It also lacks interaction with other humans, which is clearly not your strong suit.

You can't do much with $400. All I can say is look into Yamaha.

I have a Roland xp-30 and its great! I have seen them used on ebay for $400 to $500. Lots of good sounds, easy to use, and built like a tank. The only thing its missing is a built in sequencer and I use a computer for that anyway.

Yamaha S03 doesn't suck, and they're going for about $500 now.

Then why didn't you say $500 to begin with? Problems with math?

I'd probably not have a problem with it, but I don't like your name.

Or sweeden.

A "keyboard" is kind of a generic term for any keyboard instrument. A synthesizer is an instrument that has sound creation (synthesis) abilities. A lot of keyboards just play back samples of pianos, horns, etc., with very little in terms of the ability to shape those sounds, but true synthesizers allow to you create tones from scratch (using a variety of methods: subtractive, frequency modulation, etc.)

For example, a Minimoog synth has oscillators that create raw waveforms that you shape with filters and envelopes controlled by a bunch of knobs and switches. Then there's, say, a Kurzweil digital piano that plays back samples of pianos and a few other "real" instruments.

Kate Hudson is an adult, and I really am a smartass, I don't just "think so". If I changed my avatar, you might appreciate it, but my personna would then cease to exist, and millions of small children would starve to death. By the way, what happened to your grand Warwick plans?
