I've owned both and the Hiscox is a superior product, as far as I can say. BUT... they aren't easy to find (near me at least).
And SKB cases are great and have lifetime warranties, so it's not a bad product...
But the Hiscox seems to be sturdier, lighter weight.
Either way, you'll end up with a safe bass.

I have a Hiscox case and im really happy with it, i've also had a friend tell me they had 7 people stand on one at the same time to test it out, and it pass with flying colours who knew you could fit that many people on a case?
