And hey - don't knock Guitar Hero / Rock Band - obviously they aren't about training up the next generation of musicians on how to properly play instruments, but these games have almost single-handedly resurrected interest in rock and roll and opened eyes to a whole new (or old) set of styles and genres for a generation that had been rapidly falling into the pop-crap abyss.
Hell, I even had a new appreciation for the Beatles after playing the Beatles Rock Band, and I've never been much into them before.

That's post 9-11 America for ya...

I personally like the Rickenbacker, but I use the P-Bass controller by MadKatz.
And I like Rock Band. Helps me have fun and helps me learn to keep time betterer.

She'd rather learn a new riff on her guitar than play the game, now. |
