Hobbyist Players that have turned Pro

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm wondering how many TB'ers here started as hobbyist players, turned professional and then felt like they lost something in doing so. No matter what it is, when someone makes their hobby their job that they lose their hobby. For me, playing music is my escape from the everyday stresses. I pick up a bass, play what I feel like and it really clears my head. The guys that I jam with are all hobbyist players and we have a blast together. For us music is pure enjoyment along with being very challenging and rewarding. That's what I'm getting at; are their people here that felt they lost that when going pro (or even semi-pro)?
