So if she sounds as bad live as I probably would if I dared sing live, how do I get my crowds to hear what hers are hearing?

She's just singing along with the "recorded voice track", to make it look real...she's one of the biggest lip-syncers in the business.

When singers lip-sync, it is rare that they silently mouth the words. They still keep the mics on, for communicating with the audience.

Either way, that was some of the worse singing I've ever heard!

Whew! There's something even worse that is playing on the country music channels at the moment. I forgot the singers name, some very young blond girl. It's a live performance from some award show (I just looked it up... Taylor Swift... I shoulda' said no').

It is so painfully, brutally, out of tune. She just sounds absolutely horrible. You wonder what her management is thinking. I assume they could easily go in and fix the intonation.

It's one thing to listen to a feed underneath a lip-sync, it's another to put something out like that on purpose.

It's just so bad I can't turn it off when it comes on

i don't think anyone goes to a britney show for the vocals. she got good songs and can dance. and her band is hawt.
that's pop for you. you want vocal wranglings, go see beyonce. or dragonforce.

Not since the Linda McCartney iso vocal.
She pissed off a soundman, so he taped her mic channel off of the board. Hey Jude backups = not pretty.

TIP: never piss off the soundguy. He is your friend! Needs pizza & beer

Holy crap that was bad!!! I never considered her a good singer but I actually thought she would be much better than that. She wouldn't even pass the first round in American Idol singing like that.

I'd like to hear this with the "real" performance back to back. Truly disgusting stuff.

That's far enough away from the pitch that AutoTune wouldn't work. For AT to work, you've got to be relatively close.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks it's fake. Even though we all know she can't sing well, I doubt she's that bad! She's just not a 'professional' grade singer!
