I ordered something on the morning of January 1st, and its here TODAY.

I live in Western NC, which is essentially across the country from when they shipped it on the 2nd till it ended up at my door

musicians friend doesnt have CRAP on stewmac!

Same here. If I phone in something in the morning I'll have it in the mail the next day. I always assumed it was because they are just across the state from me... but they are fast.

too bad the stuffs so darn expensive.

honestly, $65 for a FREAKING 2' METAL BEAM

but i cant complain...all luthierie stuff is marked up...

If you hunted around at the right places you can find most things that Stew-Mac sells and much, much lower prices, especially the tools. They do offer convenience, however, and the markup on their prices is usually offset by the fact that you don't have to pay multiple shipping charges by buying from one place.
