I've watched his other stuff, and almost none of it could ever be played in a live situation with a band... for money at least. Some cats may like the bass solo stuff, but I prefer to lay back and groove with the band. Very few have ever made a living on this type of playing. As long as he's enjoying himself though, that's all that matters.

Don't get me wrong I wish I could play that fast sometimes. Both of those videos would have been more enjoyable for me with some tempo changes and not just a couple of minutes of look what I can do. Still cool to watch those guys for a little bit though. |
