How about the Keytar/Clavitar/Midi Bass ?

What happened to these? It seems that this might be a fun way to play bass. Right hand on the keys, left hand for effects, etc.

Is there anything like this on the market today?

What would be a good Midi device to use with it, if I could find one?

Roland has a Keytar available. I think it's a remake of the AX7.

Cheers,
Jim

Keytars are still out there, I saw one on sale at BestBuy not too long ago. I don't know how many major bands are still using them -- I know the keys player for the German band Wir Sind Helden does. They have a bit of a retro Neue Deutsche Welle thing in their sound.
