How to avoid tangled cables

Sign in to disble this ad
I don't know how many people do this alrready but when you wind up cables, wind them up in a tidy loop in your hands about 6 or 7 inches in diameter and then put a little bit of insulation tape around the cable to keep the loop together. Do this and never again pull a cable from a box only to have the rest of the cables come out with it. The only problem is you end up with lots of tape lying around when your using the cables at the next gig. It takes a little extra time to do this but its worth it. Anyways just thought I'd pass it on. I think it's a good idea

I use the velcro wire ties. They stay with the cable and they are reuseable.
