| He's got a Sadowsky J-bass, which is a good start, but any J should do. Roll down that tone knob and turn the low mids up, and let the amp do the work for you. He's plucking very lightly and mostly close to the bridge for that tight, bassy tone. Amp-wise, probably a hybrid head (tube preamp with solid state power amp), or at least it sounds that way to me. |
