Before even watching I can tell you the first and second step
1. See your strings? Loosen them or lower the action until there is buzz on every fret.
2. Ever taken lessons? If so, forget everything you know.
3. Forget anything you know about mids also.

There ya go! complete fieldy sound...Jeez, I love the comments on that page. Everyone thinks its so RAWKIN. I wish I could show everyone of those people an Entwistle or Cliff Burton solo.

Now to feel like a senior member of the board, use the search feature newb. its been posted

I'm always up for fieldy bashing though, so I don't mind.

It's kind of cyclical. It's actually so five years ago, but then a new wave of people come and and the older people roll their eyes, but then when it comes around about the seventh or eighth time, it's funny again. But in a different way.

Besides, this was a different kind of bad. "In high school and still learning the bass, but still wanting to do some kind of solo... thing" bad.

wow. I used to really rate feildy's playing when I was starting out on bass and into heavier stuff. I never realised he was that bad. I wonder if I'll think pattitucci sucks in 5 years time.

I'm sorry, that's not fair. I shouldn't say that.

I meant to say throw some pennies in a washing machine, run that through a flanger.

Well yes, Fieldy doth sucketh, but what did you all think of the guitarist? I found his playing to be quite mellow and tasteful. A pleasant surprise from what I consider to be a mediocre band.

I reminded me of One by Metallica.

Bass all the way up, treble all the way up, mid all the way down, run it through a flanger, then all that's left to do is suck. Hard.
