Two ways:

1) Send a PM to the club starter.

2) Post in the thread and ask for a number.

Evidence of qualification for said club may also be required. Pics usually suffice.

Do a search for whatever club you might be interested in (i.e. "P-Bass Club") and see if there is already a club thread going. If you can't find what you're looking for, start one yourself.

As long as we're on the subject.. Let's say you posted a reply with a pic asking for a number for a club.. After what amount of time is it PC to send a PM to the club starter saying "Hey dude, I posted X weeks ago, are you still handing out numbers?"

Just curious cause it's happened a couple of times...

I've always figured PM first, don't even worry about posting the request in the thread.

One thing you have to remember... sometimes those threads can be years old and the person who started may not even be around any longer.

They're loosely organized. Go into them with patience in mind.

And expectations should be at a minimum too. Don't look for a newsletter or anything... it's just kind of a way to say "I'm on TalkBass and I have the same bass that 40 other people have."

Nah, I really wasn't expecting much. I just thought I'd ask since this thread was up...

Not unless you have pics and a number to verify that...

I hear ya, I belong to a few clubs, 1 of them is the Carvin Club. I don't feel so bad when people rag on Carvin because I know I'm in a club with umteen hundred people who own Carvin's too.

I hear that being part of TB clubs gets you 75% off at GuitarCenter, Wendy's, and Worlds Largest Adult Book Stores.
