Sorry, I'm having problems posting polls.

No judgements. Just describe how you pay your bills.

Thanks.

I'm a instructor at a tech school. I teach plumbing and pipe fitting journeyman and master classes. Been a lead singer for many bands, in my first band as a bass player/lead singer now. The money I make pays for the hobby and beer.

I've got my day job as a teacher. That's what I use to pay bills. The money I make as a musician/sound engineer goes to support the habit. It is also my cheap therapy that helps me deal with the rest of life's issues. Every now and then I can treat my wife and kids to something nice. I like that. I got my wife a pretty dress and some sexy new shoes yesterday. We both like that. That's more important than the money, I think.

I work the parts counter at an auto repair facility. My job has me doing various tasks, at least 2 hrs a day driving. Also general cleanup around the shop and building maintenance. Change tires when were busy. Come to think of it almost every job I've had I do various tasks, just a general go-getter. I believe the same thing that makes me inclined to play bass also makes me good at doing varied tasks. It's easy for me to see the bigger picture and do what needs to be done for the good of the whole (business/band) I'm working for.

I am CPA, working as Business Analyst -IT in a multinational private company, good salary , not much into the American way of living ( no big house, i own only 2 medium size cars , only one tv, no cable, no dinners at restaurant, this allow me to paid my bills, put some money in my 401, save some money for my kids , send some money to my parents and grand mom and buy whatever gear I want although I will never pay more than $2500 for a bass.

I have a "real job", which pays the bills. I play in a Praise Band, which is a bit less than paying "gigs" and a bit more than "just for fun".

Same here, I have a corporate technology career that pays my mortgage, property taxes, kids college ect... and affords me the ability to be in a band.

The Money I earn from the band is good but not anything I could live on.

I play for fun, and gig very occasionally. My day job is as a technology director at a university, so I have plenty to do and seldom have the time to gig anyway.

Longtime professional photographer. Now working full time at FedEx Express because they have really good benefits! Still do some photography on the side. Play bar gigs a couple times a month for fun and extra pocket money.
