basic for a flash site,,, almost 'ajax' like really,,, which 'might' have been a better alternative to using flash since you wouldn't really have the load and start up times that flash requires (especially on dial connects)...
I would try combining the two sections,, instead of having a left logo/music/links, and right pic/bios... try putting it altogether for continuity
but, overall,, not bad!

Looks good to me. You might want to have something on the side that lets people know they can select an instrument to learn more about the members or look at the calendar. When showing the profiles of the members, you could add a picture of the person (after the zoom in, superimposing a picture). Other things you might want to have on the left part of the screen are calendar/gigs (I know it's on the graphic, but worth repeating), media kit (a downloadable document for bookers/radio/newspapers that want blurbs on the band where you can brag a little), and mailing list.
But I like it. Hope this helps.

above the calendar, put the word "Calendar". I figured out to scroll over the instruments but it took a while to figure out the calendar and stuff. |

I like your tunes. |

I saw a progress bar too.
If I may ask a question.....Are you called Questionable Quintet because there are only four of you? If so, I love the name.
I have to say that although I like the idea of the rollovers for the info, it seems to be all there is to the site. It's like being left in a waiting room, albeit with nice music, but the people you're waiting for, never arrive. Then you just lose interest and leave, not wanting to go back.
It's missing a lot more contact and 'feel'. The answer is in looking at the old site. Seeing the pics of the band members, instruments, recent playlists, quotes etc. This gives much more feeling of involvement and personality. Viewers are now seeing and relating to real people, and your interests rather than just seeing a pic of your practice set-up, taken while you all go for a break. It just seems... dark, desolate, abandoned.
Don't get me wrong, it's not meant to sound critical in a negative way, but constructively. If I couldn't give an explanation of how it felt, or offer any positive suggestion I wouldn't have said anything. It really pisses me off when people say something is wrong, and then don't offer any positive alternatives themselves. Just saying no for the sake of it, does nobody any favours.
It may be a funny way to describe it, but that's the best way I can think of. Maybe the more personal elements of the previous verion can be included or incorporated somehow into the new site.
Good luck with it.
As an end note, I must also say I've always liked your distinctive avatar pic with the headstocks of your Fenders. nice touch.

I like that version of chameleon, too. Who's doing the keys? I see a piano in the pic, but no player? |

I like your tunes. | A man could easily drive himself crazy trying to play by Jakob Nielsen's rules. I follow his guidelines for service/information sites, but for band stuff, all bets are off. |

But at the same time the user needs to know how to find stuff they're looking for. |

Iiii'm kidding. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.
