Just wondering how the rest of TB gets they're stuff around. I pretty much carry everything in my gigbag (an iGIG G515) including my amp head and just carry my cab in my hand. It's pretty small . As far as vehicles go it all fits nicely into a Hyundai Santa Fe.

| | curiously looking back at what once was beautiful | | Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Oregon | | I love my pickup truck with the camper shell. I leave my main big & small speaker cabs in there all the time, along with stands & cables. I toss in axes and amps as needed (awful glad I don't have to wrangle my my vintage Ampeg in to the back seat of a sedan).
When pressed, I can squeeze the upright, a PA and the guitarist's rig and give him a ride. (For that reason, I'm tempted to downsize to a Honda Civic. )

Right now it would be 2 double gig bags, 2 GB NeoX112's, and a Shuttle and a PT Mini. If the family goes (wife and 2 daughters) I fold the seats back up and it still all fits...lol

| | | I make other people lug it all around for me
Not really though... Somehow I've managed to always fit my Orange 115 cab, Orange Tiny Terror Bass Head, pedalboard, at least 1 or 2 basses, usually some of my drummers cymbals and stands, and most of the time a lot of my guitarists equipment all in my small little 2-door Ford Mustang. It's gotten to the point where I almost can't fit in at times.
Don't know which I hate more, the car or my bandmates |

Our PA consists of 16 speaker cabs and five amps, so it takes up lots of room. My current bass rig consists of an Orange Tiny Terror with a SP212 and OBC115, and a PJB Suitcase with a MB NY cab. Add two basses to my bass rig and it fits easily into my wife's GMC Terrain. I love jobs that supply the sound, makes my job much easier. |

Up until a 2 years ago, it took nothing less than a minivan or an SUV to haul one of my walls-o-sound (SVT, SWR or Mesa Road Ready) rigs. Thanks to my lighter and much smaller Markbass rig, the wall stays home, my back is not broke and I'm still able to move enough air to get the job done.

| | | Depends on the gig....
Ford Ranger extended cab. My record:
two bases in gig bags
one acoustic guitar in hardshell
one acoustic guitar in gig bag
plastic box of cables
briefcase of spare sctuff
3 tarps
gig rug
small flashy light set <-----all behind seat
passenger seat: 4x10 ampeg cab
floorboard: ampeg head, bag with music/music holders/rope
camera (Digital SLR in big bag)
tripod
purse
Me.
And there was room for a few more things
If there's more than one plastic tote of stuff (like when I bring my personal fan), the excess tote goes in the bed. If I bring subs, they both go in the bed.
Pre extended cab, I had a single cab Ranger. The 4x10 didn't fit in the front seat so it went in the bed, as did any plastic totes. Everything else still fit in the cab.
BTW, TIE EVERYTHING DOWN. If you're putting cabs in the seats with you, either put the seatbelt around em (if they'll fit) or get some cargo straps and go around the seat securely (use the good ones). Put the release on the side by you in case you need to untie it quick. If you've got stuff in the truck bed, strap those puppies in. I put the straps through the handles (if they're the kind you can do that too) and then around the speaker.
Almost took out my passenger side window with a bass cab when I had to take a curve too fast. Luckily, I had *just* put the window down. Ended up pulling over and digging out rope to tie cab to seat after that.
