How does your mood or playing change when your guitarist is using a telecaster ? Telecasters do have an impact on my approach in the style of bass I want to use , there is something special about Teles.

Doesn't seem to have any special effect on me, Major. I've been there multiple times. NBD...

I used to get angry.

But then, the guitar player always used a tele, and always played it very badly, and way too damned loud.

Can't say it has an effect on me. I've been fortunate enough to work with guitarists who know how to adapt to best fit the song and the band, so when they pull out a Tele, I know its for a good reason.

Depends on the Tele, and the player behind it. Mostly it makes me play lots of root-five, root-five, root-five, root-five, root-five, root-five...

I go in to rage against the machine ripoff mode.

I really do dig tele's though when they aren't doing the countrybluesrock thing.

It doesn't really change at all. My guitarist's tele is the Nashville tele which is pretty much a Strat.

Well, since I mostly have played with one main guitarist since 1990 and his main(read as only electric now) guitar is a Tele.

None.
