I love that show... however, due to time constraints they must over simplify. My biggest gripe is that they make it seem like there's only ONE way to do things.

I watched them making buttons, they showed about 3 different ways to do it

There is a show on the DIY channel called Handmade Music. it airs Saturday nights in my area so i just Tivo it. but they are in the middle of showing how violins are made, i think its a four part series. it shows a little bit more detail.

fascinating stuff to watch nonetheless.
