Off and on since I was 13 back in ancient times.
And to all you newbies out there do it for the joy, when you get tired put it down. Always keep one bass even if you don't play anymore because the day will always come when that itch returns and you'll play again.

hehe, yeah, or how much money did you blow before you tied up a bunch in your rig!!!
It isn't how much now, but how much total since you've been playing that depresses me!
I don't even want to know that figure.
But for me 20+ years, and still no clue!!

| | The artist formerly known as "Big Daddy" | | Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Irving, TX | | | I've been playing since '81. I was 26 at the time. Picked it up kind of late but not as late as some. I sure wish I had started earlier, but I was consumed with my trumpet playing until '74. I quit college then and didnt' play anything until I picked up a bass because I was really missing playing music and the opportunity came up for me to try it out. I even started playing horn again in '96. I'm not nearly as good on it as I was but I still get calls to play. |
