I've been playing bass for a little over 4 years, I played guitar(sorta) since the mid 80's. (I'm NOT a frustrated guitard trying to play bass!!!)

1977 with Framus Nashville bass


1983 with a Wal Pro 1e


1998 with old faithful Precision Lyte (still in use now)


Cabaret time, 2002 with Ric 4003 FG (still in use now)


2004 with Hamer 12-string bass and Ric 4003 BB (both still in use now)


2011 with Warwick Streamer Chrome Tone

I dunno when I started exactly....I didn't know there would be a test later! It was around 1979. Here's a pic of me with my first bass, which I still own, around 1980 in Seattle with my first band.

I would redo the answers - which do you pick if you've played for 2 years, or 15 years, or 40 years? You see the problem.

Its like birthdays. If you have completed 2 full years you are in the 2+ range. If you have been playing 18 months, you are in the 1-2 years. Simple.

This was a 1975 New Years Eve party...I was playing my 73 Jazz Bass through my Accoustic 360 Head and Bottom. Ahh yes those long gone days of playing GB and wearing a Tux to every gig.
