How Many 4 Piece Metal Bands Are there?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Gang,

Buddy and I are looking to start jamming again doing classic, new (NOT Nu!) and original metal (ie Sabbath) and some good 'ole dirty Rock 'n Roll (ie Nashville Pussy). And being that this will be a 3 piece, I need to ideally find some rockin' metal bands with one guitar.

Some I have so far would be:

Black Sabbath
Motorhead
Quiet Riot
Motley Crue
Pantera
Rebel Meets Rebel
Nine Pound Hammer...

So, anybody else I should be looking for?

I think you mean to ask how many 3 piece metal bands are there. Singers don't really count.

Um...Sadus?

And uh..Dream Theater has one guitar, but keyboards as well.

You could pull off most 2 guitar songs with just one guitar anyway.

Yeah, singers don't count do they...lol

So, I am looking for 1 guitar, 1 BASS, and drums. Some bands that play 2 guitars could be covered, but sometimes they don't work. KISS' "Detroit Rock City" comes to mind, and Iron Maiden. It does help that the guitar player knows his chops, and knows how to fill out his sound, so 4-piece metal bands could be done, but where are all the 3 piece?

Hey, what about Venom...

Sadus: nev'r neard of them...anymore info?

Three piece. Bassist sings, guitarist is a MINDBLOWING Russian guitar virtuoso who would give Petrucci and Eddie Van Halen and even the mighty Steve Vai a run for their money.
