So???
When was the last time You checked up the population of China?
Their domestic market is skyrocketing and they need the € & $, so they export as much we are willing to buy.

Hi.
Well Bongo, I have a Djembe (at least it looks like a Djembe) that's ceramic, not actually china, true, but pottery anyway.
There's a few other percussion and stringed instruments out there that use various ceramics in various places.
Those are quite fragile though...
